On the 13th, Australian Federal Government Prime Minister Albanese led the new government department heads to be sworn in at the Governor’s House in the capital Canberra.
The new Australian cabinet consists of 23 people. The Labor Party, which won the federal election, adjusted and supplemented some government department heads, and the main leaders of the previous government were re-elected, including Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Mars, Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Treasurer Chalmers and Trade Minister Farrell.
After announcing the list of government department heads on the 12th, Albanese said that he would implement “the agenda proposed to the Australian people to make the country better.” He urged elected members to remain humble after winning re-election and “focus on working for all Australians” at the Labor Party caucus meetings on the 9th and 12th.
Australia held a federal election on May 3, and Albanese led the ruling Labor Party to victory.
